Short break idea

Parked while you focused

Break ideas are general wellbeing tips, not medical advice.

Click an empty slot to add an event or focus block. Drag to move; drag the bottom edge to resize. ▶ starts focus on that task. Green bars show when you actually focused.

    Set up your year

Pick when week 1 starts. The postings come from the NMC schedule and you can change any of them afterwards.

Your roll number is only kept as a label for now. Reading it out of a college rotation sheet is still being built, so the postings below start in the standard order and you move them to match your own.

What this page is honest about.
    • Every date assumes you keep your current pace. It is arithmetic on what you have actually done, not a prediction.
    • Your rest days are already taken out, so the daily figure never quietly assumes seven days a week.
    • Revision dates use widening gaps — 1, 3, 7 then 21 days. That is a scheduling rule, not a claim about your marks.
    • Topic counts are the ones you typed in. If one chapter is bigger than the others, the plan does not know that.
    • None of this leaves your device. There is no account and nothing is uploaded.

    Help

    How do I start?

Type what you're working on in Tasks, then press Start (or the Space key). Focus for 25 minutes, take the short break, repeat. After four rounds you get a long break. Drag the dial to change the minutes.

    Why is there no sound?

Browsers only allow sound after your first tap, so press Start once. On an iPhone, flip the Ring/Silent switch to Ring. Check the chime volume in Settings → Sound.

Does the timer keep running if I lock my phone or switch apps?

Yes, it keeps time and catches up when you come back, and a finished session is still logged. But phones pause web pages in the background, so the chime or notification can be late. For exact alerts, keep HSFocus on screen (Settings → Keep the screen on).

How do I put HSFocus on my phone's home screen?

iPhone: open it in Safari, tap Share → Add to Home Screen. Android: open it in Chrome, tap ⋮ → Add to Home screen or Install app.

Where is my data? Can I move it to another device?

Everything stays only in this browser on this device; nothing is sent to us. To move it, use Settings → Your data → Export my data, then Restore a backup on the other device. Your own photos and music are not included in the backup.

Does HSFocus give health or diet advice?

No. It is a study and focus timer. It suggests breaks and an optional breathing exercise, and nothing in it is medical advice. Stop any breathing exercise that makes you dizzy.

How do I start again from scratch?

Settings → Your data → Delete all my data, then tap it again to confirm. This cannot be undone, so export a backup first if you might want your data back.

    Demo & tour

Demo mode fills the app with sample tasks, events, parked thoughts and a week of focus history, so every screen has something to show. Your own data is set aside and comes back when you exit.

All music is generated live in your browser in the style of each tradition. It is not a recording of real instruments.

    Lock your backups

Your backup file gets scrambled with a passphrase only you know. After this, a backup is safe to keep in Google Drive, OneDrive or anywhere else — whoever holds the file cannot read a word of it.

If you forget this passphrase, your backup can never be opened again — not by you, not by us, not by anyone. There is no reset, because we hold nothing about you. Write it down somewhere safe before you continue.

    This backup is locked

Type the passphrase you chose when you made it. Nothing is changed until it opens.
